A court commissioner granted Britney Spears three monitored visits a week with her two small sons while ordering her to childproof her house and work out a schedule for the visits with ex-husband Kevin Federline, according to a ruling made Tuesday. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon also required that Spears undergo random weekly drug and alcohol tests. Spears also must continue meeting with a court-appointed parenting coach, and the children must be in car seats when they are being driven, the ruling states. The ruling came after a three-hour hearing attended by both Spears and Federline. Extensive testimony was presented on a number of issues. Gordon previously said there was evidence that Spears is a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of drugs and alcohol. He had previously withdrawn approval for her to even visit the children after finding she had failed to comply with some conditions for shared custody. He later withdrew the ban and allowed her to visit her sons, but only in the presence of a court-approved monitor.

On Hilton’s itinerary were visits to schools and health-care clinics “Paris has been a loyal and gracious supporter of Playing for Good, but the foundation has to regrettably reschedule this trip,” the organization said. “Playing for Good would like to thank Ms. Hilton for her generosity and her continued support of this initiative and is looking forward to rescheduling the trip with her at a later time.” Hilton announced last month she was planning a trip to Rwanda, the scene of genocide in 1994, because she hoped she could raise awareness about what people can do to help those in need. Hilton says she’ll visit Rwanda next year. “I know (Rwanda) went through a lot of traumatic experiences, and I feel like if I go there, I can help save some people’s lives,” Hilton says.Even though her trip to Rwanda has been postponed, Hilton is still determined to use her celebrity status for good causes.”I want to travel the world,” she says. “I feel like there’s a lot I can do, and a lot I can do to help.”

New York radio host Howard Stern had a shock when a crazed fan threatened him on a Manhattan street before spitting on his girlfriend Beth Ostrosky. The 55-year-old filmmaker was charged with a single count of making false statements to federal agents and ordered to appear in court on April 17. The two-page charging document accuses McTiernan of lying to the FBI when he told agents during an interview that he had no knowledge of any wiretapping conducted by Anthony Pellicano and had never discussed wiretapping with Anthony Pellicano.In fact, as defendant McTiernan well knew, he had hired and paid Anthony Pellicano to conduct a wiretapping of Charles Roven, and Anthony Pellicano had discussed with defendant McTiernan his interception of Charles Rovens telephone calls and the information that Anthony Pellicano had obtained from that wiretap, the court papers say. The documents do not elaborate on the eavesdropping, but Roven is a Hollywood producer who worked with McTiernan on the film Rollerball. Pellicano, who has worked for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, was charged in a 110-count racketeering and conspiracy indictment, which alleges he illegally wiretapped and obtained the confidential records of performers, journalists and business executives. He has pleaded not guilty to the indictment, which was returned just before he completed a 30-month term in federal prison for firearms violations. The former private detective faces up to 20 years behind bars on each of the racketeering charges.Among those whose privacy he is accused of breaching through wiretaps or illicit database searches were entertainers Sylvester Stallone, Garry Shandling, Kevin Nealon and Keith Carradine. British pop star George Michael may be barred from entering the United States after he received a police citation again for possessing marijuana. The singer, who has a home in the US, was taken into custody last month after London police allegedly found marijuana and another drug in his car.
